What if a busy day in London could feel like a walk through the rainforest?

Volvo, the Eden Project and Grey London brought this idea to life with The Human Recharging Station, a multi-sensory experience at Outernet London celebrating the launch of the fully electric Volvo EX60.

From 1st to 3rd October, visitors were invited to step away from the hustle of city life and reconnect with nature through an immersive environment designed to relax, restore and recharge.

Inspired by the Eden Project’s Rainforest Biome, the experience combined the sounds of nature through Bowers & Wilkins headphones, a calming scent and immersive visuals. In our Pop 2 space, guided meditation sequences offered visitors another opportunity to pause and reset.

Bringing together the restorative power of nature and Volvo’s vision for a quieter, more serene journey, the activation transformed the idea of recharging into an experience visitors could see, hear and feel.

Creative agency Grey London led the creative, collaborating with HEX, The Event Business and Initiative on planning and production.

The campaign successfully helped Volvo to connect the EX60 product benefits with an experience that resonated beyond the screen.
