Pixel Artworks Explores How Colour Influences Emotion at Outernet

Our new free immersive experience offers families, commuters, and visitors to London a moment of escapism in the heart of the metropolis. Chromatic States uses space, sound and shapes to explore how colour is more than what we see; it’s something we feel.

Created by long-time studio collaborator, Pixel Artworks, Chromatic States is open every day during lunchtimes (12-1pm) throughout the summer holidays and welcomes all ages. Visitors can drop in for free, with no need to book.

Set across our Now Trending and Arcade spaces, Chromatic States surrounds audiences with visuals, motion and an evolving soundscape to guide people through three distinct emotional states: Tension, Float and Wonder.

Behavioural Scientist and Author, Patrick Fagan, says of the experience:

“The senses have a profound effect on our emotional state - to the point that they are almost one and the same.
